Happy New Year!
I hope you enjoyed your New Years celebrations. We certainly did! I had the pleasure of welcoming 2010 while playing with some of the best musicians and friends one could ever hope for. Below is a snapshot of me and my lovely wife, Vicky, during a break.
After the excitement died down the next day, our two oldest kids, Jeremy and Jessica, went to their uncle's house in San Diego to wish him a Happy Birthday. That left us with Olivia, our youngest, to spend a quiet weekend together – well, as quiet as a weekend can be with an active four year old!
And here we are, settling into the second week of January 2010 already!
News:
I was priviledged to be interviewed in December by Jeffrey Callison, host of KXJZ's (NPR) Insight radio program. If you missed it, you can listen to my segment at my website.
My cowriter, Mark Morris, and I are in discussions about some new music. He sent me an mp3 of a song he's been working on that is incredibly funky! I can't wait to give it a whirl!
And, for you musicians and educators, I'm in the process of rolling out minus one mixes and charts for all instruments to the songs on my debut CD, Never The Same. Play along with your iPod, stereo, or digital audio workstation. Next New Year's Eve, punish your neighbor's dog by hosting an instrumental karaoke night! :-)
